Changes to the timer options

I love this selector. It has been so useful to me and my colleagues who teach English as a second language. Last year I used it for class presentations. After selecting a name, I would set the timer for two minutes (the length specified for the presentation). Now, however, it seems that the timer can be set for a maximum of 7 seconds. Another use of the selector was to add conversation topics (instead of names). After a topic was selected, the students would discuss until the timer sounded (2 or 3 minutes). If possible, could you please bring back the timer's previous functionality?
